Pitt County International Overdose Awareness Day
About
International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD)

IOAD is a global event held on August 31st each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death.  It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have met with death or permanent injury as a result of drug overdose.

This is the 1st Annual Pitt County International Overdose Awareness Day.  Our mission is to provide education and resources and fundraise for local outreach and recovery programs.

Pitt County IOAD is a non-profit event that is free and open to the public.  All sponsors will receive a written acknowledgment of the donation or gifts in kind.  Donations and gifts will be used to supplement the promotion, outreach and fullfillment of the event.  Additionally, funds will be distributed through an awards program to addiction outreach organizations in Pitt County by December 31, 2017.
